We have built up a wide experience in the affordable housing sector
since 1988, with individual partner experience dating back to 1977.
We currently have around 300 units in detailed planning or under
construction, on over 20 sites from Kent to the Cotswolds.
We have a strong track record of delivering
affordable housing schemes in partnering arrangements with housing
associations and local authorities. Our in depth experience in this sector
working with a number of housing associations give us a clear understanding
of the particular development issues, of funding, timing and standards,
that face the Voluntary Housing sector. As would be expected
all staff have a thorough knowledge of 'Standards and Quality'
and 'Scheme Design Standards'. A large percentage of our projects
are designed to Lifetime Homes Standards.
Our Projects are predominantly either
rural exception sites or high density 'brownfield' development
and we have an established track record in delivering a high
quality of building design and place-making in conservation areas
or other sensitive locations, within the disciplines of 'Best
Value'.
On all projects we strongly believe in the benefits of consultation
with all stakeholders within the community.
We are experienced in sustainable design
and innovation. Recently
completed and current projects are designed to EcoHomes 'very good'
standard, some incorporating sun-spaces, grey water recycling,
rainwater harvesting, high insulation timber frame construction,
FSC certification, and porous paving. As a matter of course SAP
rating is carried out in house as a design development tool. |
